Tomato Mozzarella Basil Salad

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices ripe tomato (1/4” thick)
  • 8 slices fresh mozzarella (1/8” thick)
  • 16 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced on diagonal
  • 8 slices procuitto
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar reduction
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste

Directions
Layer on plater tomatoes, cheese, procuitto, basil leaves. Sprinkle with green onions and add salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with balsamic reduction. Serve room temperature.

Note: Tomatoes are at peak flavor when not refrigerated! The cheese will add enough chill to this salad.
